Their swords had to be constructed for speed and accuracy.Contrary to what most people believe thier battles were short not long and drawn out. Most kills were from the draw! Such is true with this modern Musashi sword. The blade is constructed from 1040 carbon steel with a low heat-tempered finish. The hardwood handle offers white nylon cord wrapping with black ray skin underneath. The 27 1/8" blade slides neatly into the bronze colored hardwood sheath.

The blade of the sword is hand made High Carbon Steel 1095. The blade is full tang and features a medium Kissake and bo-hi. One menuki one side , it has a Samurai Warrior in a battle formation and on the other side is ancient Japanese writing from the Manuscript of the Samurai. The Saya of the sword is wooden with a black glossy finish. A black cotton Sageo is wrapped around the sword with a wooden and copper Kurigata. The Saya also has a beautiful color painting of a Samurai Warrior in a battle stance which also carries writings from the kagi. The Tsuka core is wooden with an imitation ray skin and black cotton Ito. The Menuki is dragons on each side of the Tsuka. The Kashira is also made from silver. This sword comes with a cotton sword bag with a picture of a Samurai warrior with Japanese writing on it.
